The 2011 Ford Expedition is available in eight different trim levels. There are four main trims and each of them is also available as an EL model that is built on a longer wheelbase; which means a larger trunk. The four main trim levels are the XL, XLT, Limited and King Ranch. The XL models come standard with running boards, luggage rack with crossbars and side rail and privacy glass in the rear windows and rear doors. Manual air conditioning, rear auxiliary climate control and a large center console are also standard on the XL models. Power safety locks, power windows with one-touch-up/down on driver’s side, and carpeted first-and second-row floor mats are other standard features. The entertainment system is an AM/FM single-disc CD/MP3 player with SIRIUS® satellite radio and an audio input jack. The second row is a 40/20/40 split bench reclining fold-flat seat and the third row is a 60/40 split bench fold flat-to-the-floor seat.

 

The King Ranch model includes many of the same features of the Limited model but adds to them with carpeted first-and second-row floor mats and a leather-wrapped steering wheel with Chapparel leather insert and audio controls. Powered third-row fold-flat-to-the-floor seat and heated second-row seats are also standard features on the 2011 King Ranch Expedition.

 

All 2011 Ford Expedition models come standard with 2-wheel drive or an available option of ControlTrac® 4-wheel drive system as well as a 5.4-Liter 3V SOHC flex-fuel V8 engine with six-speed automatic overdrive transmission. The engine generates up to 210 horsepower and distributes 365 pound-feet of torque. The towing capabilities of this SUV are top in its class. The 2011 Ford Expedition comes standard with many safety features, including dual-stage front airbags, Ford’s Safety Canopy system, and front seat side-impact air bags. The SOS Post-Crash Alert System is also standard on all 2011 Expeditions.
