The 2011 Explorer is available in either front-wheel or four-wheel drive with a 3.5-Liter V6 engine. The 6-speed automatic transmission generates 290 horsepower and is capable of towing up to 5,000 pounds. The 2011 Ford Explorer gets an EPA estimated 17 mpg city and 25 mpg highway.
